* On our tour we like to pamper our pilgrims especially after completing each of the stages. As part of the well-being journey we offer our guests starting in the city of Sarria a relaxing massage. It will help you rest and prepare you for the next day's adventure.

*It is important to note that in order to receive the Certificate of Walkers and the Compostela, it is necessary to walk a minimum of 100km before arriving in Santiago or 200 kms by bicycle.
Note: The Compostela is the written representation of having reached the Cathedral of Santiago and visited the tomb of the Apostle. Undoubtedly, a unique recognition that cannot be obtained anywhere else in the world.

*Each guest walks at his or her own pace. Our job is to provide all the necessary support during each stage for the well-being of our pilgrims.

* Many of the activities allow guests to connect with the healing elements of nature which take place outdoors. We recommend disconnecting from your electronic devices for the benefit of your mental health. For those who need to stay connected, we ask that you limit any use to your private room which is equipped with wi-fi.

* To complement the active days the Camino S.A.B.E Tour team has team up with each of the owners and chefs of the wonderful hotels where you will be staying to serve a nutritional, delicious and balanced nourishment with local, sustainable and high quality products, offering conventional, vegetarian or vegan gastronomy inspired by regional and international flavors.

Our regularly scheduled tour starts in León.
We pick you up in Madrid. The pick up time and place will be sent to you with all the tour information once your reservation is confirmed.

For the tour, it is estimated to walk an average of 9 to 12 miles per day. Some people walk 3 hours, others 4 hours because they take longer breaks. Our private transportation is available every 3kms during the daily routes to assist any needs of our guests.

A person of average fitness can walk without a problem. The trail itself is a combination of very well-maintained compact dirt and stone footpaths and small country roads.

A guide will be on the path at all times, it is very difficult to get lost on the Camino. The trail is well-marked with bright yellow arrows and stone markers with the symbol of a shell. In addition, you will be given information letting you know the distance between towns so that you will know where you are.

During your walk, Adriana or one of the guides will be on the trail every day to be sure everything is going well. Also, at planned check points along the way, our support car will make sure you have plenty of water, fruits and snacks if you need them. You can stop anywhere along the path to take a break, but the support car will be available at designated spots along the way. You will see the van several times a day. If for any reason you need assistance, you can let us know and we will come to where you are.

That is up to you. It is your walk. You may walk at the pace you prefer, with the group, with one or two people or by yourself. Sometimes friends or couples like to walk together - others prefer to walk on their own to think and really enjoy the sounds of nature and the countryside. The walk is meant to be personal.

We have selected the most scenic roads of the path to walk. So, for those sections that are on the side of the road or walking on asphalt, we use our private bus to transport us to a starting point that is more in the country and off the road. You are normally not in the bus longer than 30- 45 minutes a day.

Most food allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Let us know your dietary requirements at the time of booking. Our tour offers high quality, delicious and creative conventional, vegetarian and vegan options.

We have personally selected the best restaurants in each town where we stay that have local fresh quality and sustainable ingredients. Some of these restaurants may be quite small and family owned but with the right nourishment for our guest.

You will choose from a menu that reflects the cuisine typical of the region in which we are walking and delicious local wines to accompany the meal. The cuisine across Spain is quite varied and allow us to accommodate our guest with the best choices of conventional, vegetarian or vegan gastronomy.

You will sleep in four or five-star hotels, beautiful country inns, renovated palaces, or renovated monasteries or convents. We have chosen the best lodging in each town on the path, many with their own centuries-old story.

If you are interested in doing our tour on a private and/or personalized basis either walking or biking, we will be happy to accommodate you on available dates when we do not have regularly scheduled tours. Please contact us for more information
